Strawberry Margarita Colada

  • Author: Stephanie

Description

🍓 Strawberry Margarita Colada

Flavor: Fruity, tangy, and creamy
Texture: Thick, frozen, slushy
Vibe: Summer party, poolside chill, strawberry sunset glow

🥥 Ingredients (makes 2 large drinks or 4 small):

🍓 Strawberry Margarita Layer:

  • 1 ½ cups frozen strawberries

  • 2 oz tequila (blanco or reposado)

  • 1 oz triple sec (or orange liqueur)

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • 1 tbsp simple syrup (adjust to taste)

  • 1 cup ice

🥥 Pina Colada Layer:

  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (frozen or fresh)

  • 2 oz white rum (or coconut rum for extra tropical flair)

  • ½ cup coconut cream (like Coco Lopez)

  • ¼ cup coconut milk or pineapple juice

  • 1 cup ice

🌀 Instructions:

  1. Blend the Strawberry Margarita Layer:
In a blender, combine frozen strawberries, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice. Blend until smooth and slushy. Pour into a jug and chill in the freezer while you make the next layer.

  2. Blend the Pina Colada Layer:
Rinse the blender, then add pineapple chunks, white rum, coconut cream, coconut milk (or juice), and ice. Blend until creamy and frosty.

  3. Layer It Up:
In each glass, pour one layer at a time—either start with strawberry or colada. For a swirled effect, alternate layers and gently swirl with a straw or spoon.

  4. Garnish:
Top with a strawberry slice, pineapple wedge, lime wheel, and a tiny cocktail umbrella for ultimate summer flair.

🍹 Tips for Maximum Vibes:

  • Use frozen fruit for thicker texture.

  • Rim glasses with a mix of sugar and shredded coconut.

  • Add a splash of grenadine for a glowing red swirl if desired.
