Description

Sweet and Spicy Honey Sriracha Meatballs

Ingredients

For the Meatballs:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or half beef, half pork for extra flavor)

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 green onions, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Sauce:

  • ⅓ cup honey

  • ¼ cup Sriracha sauce (adjust to your heat level)

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Make the Meatballs:
In a large bowl, mix ground meat, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper until combined.
Roll into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet.

  3. Bake:
Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until fully cooked and golden brown.

  4. Make the Sauce:
In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
Add honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, and vinegar. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
If you want a thicker glaze, stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook another minute until glossy.

  5. Coat the Meatballs:
Add baked meatballs to the sauce and toss until fully coated.

  6. Serve:
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve as an appetizer or over rice for a full meal.
