Sweet Bourbon Glazed Meatballs
Ingredients
For the Meatballs:

1 lb ground beef (or half beef, half pork)

1 egg
-
½ cup breadcrumbs
-
2 cloves garlic, minced

2 green onions, finely chopped
-
2 tbsp soy sauce
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Bourbon Glaze:

½ cup bourbon
-
¼ cup brown sugar
-
2 tbsp soy sauce
-
2 tbsp ketchup
-
1 tbsp honey
-
1 tsp Dijon mustard
-
1 clove garlic, minced
-
1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
Instructions

Preheat Oven:
Preheat to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. -
Make the Meatballs:
In a large bowl, combine ground meat, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
Form into 1-inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet. -
Bake the Meatballs:
Bake 18–20 minutes, or until cooked through and lightly browned. -
Make the Bourbon Glaze:
In a skillet over medium heat, combine bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, honey, Dijon mustard, and garlic.
Simmer 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened. For extra thickness, whisk in the cornstarch slurry. -
Glaze the Meatballs:
Add baked meatballs to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the bourbon glaze. -
Serve:
Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds. Serve as an appetizer or over rice for a full meal.
