Ingredients

9–12 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions

1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg, lightly beaten

2 cups marinara sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt and black pepper to taste

Optional: 1/2 tsp dried basil or Italian seasoning

Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.

In a bowl, mix ricotta, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and optional herbs until well combined.

Spread a thin layer of the cheese mixture evenly over each cooked lasagna noodle.

Roll up each noodle tightly and place seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.

Pour marinara sauce evenly over the roll-ups and sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top.

Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

You can add spinach, mushrooms, or cooked sausage to the cheese filling for extra flavor.
