Toffee Pop Shots

  • Author: Stephanie

Description

🍬 Toffee Pop Shots – Butterscotch Liqueur with Vanilla Foam

A buttery swirl of sweet butterscotch and creamy vanilla, topped with a light vanilla foam. It’s like sipping a liquid toffee candy with a cloud on top—decadent, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink.

🍸 Ingredients (Makes 6–8 shots)

For the Shot Base:

  • 2 oz butterscotch schnapps (like DeKuyper Buttershots)

  • 1 oz vanilla vodka

  • 1 oz Irish cream liqueur (for creaminess)

  • ½ oz caramel syrup (optional, for extra richness)

  • Ice (for shaking)

For the Vanilla Foam Topping:

  • ½ cup heavy cream or cold milk frother foam

  • 1 tbsp vanilla syrup (or ½ tsp vanilla extract + 1 tsp sugar)

  • Optional: A pinch of sea salt for “salted toffee” flavor

  • Optional: Use canned whipped cream for a shortcut

Optional Rim & Garnish:

  • Caramel or toffee sauce (for the rim)

  • Crushed toffee bits or brown sugar

  • Mini toffee or caramel popcorn on a cocktail pick

🧊 Directions

  1. Rim the Glasses (Optional):

    • Dip each shot glass rim in caramel sauce, then into crushed toffee bits or brown sugar for a crunchy-sweet finish. Set aside.

  2. Mix the Shots:

    • In a shaker filled with ice, combine butterscotch schnapps, vanilla vodka, Irish cream, and caramel syrup (if using).

    • Shake well until chilled—about 10–15 seconds.

    • Strain into prepared shot glasses.

  3. Top with Vanilla Foam:

    • Whip heavy cream with vanilla syrup until lightly foamy but pourable (soft peaks).

    • Spoon or gently pour the foam over each shot.

    • Alternatively, use cold milk froth or a small swirl of whipped cream.

  4. Garnish (Optional):

    • Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt or toffee crumble on top.

    • Garnish with a piece of caramel popcorn or a mini caramel candy on a pick.
