Description

🧜‍♀️ Toxic Mermaid

A tropical blue and green drink with pineapple, coconut, and a swirl of shimmer – sweet with a mysterious twist.

🌊 Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice (chilled)

  • 1/4 cup coconut water or coconut milk (for creamy depth)

  • 1 tbsp blue curaçao syrup (non-alcoholic)

  • 1 tbsp lime juice

  • 1/4 cup lemon-lime soda or sparkling water (for fizz)

  • 1/2 tsp edible green or teal shimmer dust (food-grade glitter)

  • Ice cubes

  • Optional garnish: pineapple wedge, lime wheel, or a rock candy stick

🌀 Directions:

  1. Create the Mermaid Mix:
In a shaker (no ice), combine pineapple juice, coconut water/milk, blue curaçao syrup, and lime juice. Stir or shake lightly to combine.

  2. Add the Sparkle:
Stir in edible glitter to create a swirling, mystical effect. For best results, stir just before pouring to keep the shimmer suspended.

  3. Assemble:
Fill a clear glass with ice. Slowly pour the mermaid mix over the ice, then top with lemon-lime soda or sparkling water for a fizzy lift.

  4. Garnish & Serve:
Add a slice of pineapple, lime wheel, or fun straw. Watch the shimmer swirl like ocean magic!

💡 Tips:

  • Want a deeper “toxic” look? Add a tiny drop of green food coloring to make the shimmer dance between blue and green hues.

  • For an icy blended version, blend with crushed ice into a slushy “Mermaid Freeze.”

  • Serve in a tall hurricane or clear stemmed glass to show off the layers and shimmer.
