🌴 Tropic Swizzle Shots – Swirled Passionfruit & Kiwi Paradise 💚💛

Sweet, tart, and swirling with tropical color—these fruity island shots bring the lushness of kiwi and the tang of passionfruit together in one hypnotic sip.


🍸 Ingredients (Makes 6–8 shots)

Kiwi Layer (Green Swirl):

  • 1 oz kiwi liqueur (like Bols Kiwi) or kiwi purée

  • 1 oz vodka (plain or citrus)

  • 1/2 oz lime juice

  • Pinch of green edible shimmer (optional)

Passionfruit Layer (Golden Swirl):

  • 1 oz passionfruit liqueur (like Passoã or Giffard) or passionfruit nectar

  • 1 oz coconut rum

  • 1/2 oz orange juice

  • Pinch of gold shimmer dust or a drop of yellow food gel (optional)

Garnish & Presentation:

  • Thin kiwi slices or passionfruit seeds

  • Swizzle sticks or mini cocktail spoons

  • Optional: sugar rim in green or yellow


🌀 Instructions

  1. Prep the Glasses (Optional):
    Rim shot glasses with lime juice and dip into green or yellow sugar. Chill the glasses for a few minutes.

  2. Make the Kiwi Layer:
    In a shaker with ice, combine:

    • Kiwi liqueur or purée

    • Vodka

    • Lime juice

    • Optional shimmer

    Shake well and set aside.

  3. Make the Passionfruit Layer:
    In a second shaker (or rinse out the first), combine:

    • Passionfruit liqueur or nectar

    • Coconut rum

    • Orange juice

    • Optional shimmer or coloring

    Shake well until chilled.

  4. Layer & Swizzle:

    • Pour the kiwi mix into the shot glasses first.

    • Slowly add the passionfruit layer on top, pouring gently over the back of a spoon.

    • Use a cocktail pick or mini swizzle stick to gently swirl the layers just once or twice—creating a vibrant, marbled look without fully mixing.

  5. Garnish (Optional):
    Add a tiny kiwi wedge on the rim or a few passionfruit seeds on top. Serve with a swizzle stick for flair.
