Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger Burrito

Ingredients

For the meat mixture:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 6-8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup diced white onion

  • 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 2 tablespoons water

For the sauce mixture:

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

For assembly:

  • 4 large flour tortillas

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 6 slices American cheese, halved

  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

  • 1/2 cup diced dill pickles

  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce

  • Additional mayonnaise for spreading

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the bacon
Cook bacon slices until crispy, then crumble and set aside. Reserve some bacon grease in the pan for extra flavor.

Step 2: Prepare the beef
In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, combine ground beef, minced garlic, water, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes until thoroughly cooked, breaking it apart constantly with a wooden spoon to keep pieces small. Drain excess grease to prevent soggy tortillas.

Step 3: Make burger sauce
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard. Stir in the cooked ground beef mixture and set aside.

Step 4: Warm tortillas
Warm flour tortillas in microwave for 20 seconds or place directly on burner for 10 seconds per side to make them pliable. Cold tortillas will crack when rolled.

Step 5: Assemble burritos
Lay tortilla flat and spread mayonnaise down the center as a moisture barrier. Arrange American cheese halves in a line, then add one-quarter of the beef mixture. Top with crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, diced onions, pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce. Drizzle with additional ketchup and mustard if desired.

Step 6: Wrap tightly
Fold in the sides of the tortilla first, then roll from bottom, keeping everything tight. Don’t overfill or ingredients will squeeze out.

Step 7: Crisp the burritos
Heat large skillet over medium heat. Place burritos seam-side down and cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. This creates the perfect contrast between crispy exterior and soft interior.

Step 8: Serve
Let rest briefly, then slice in half and serve warm.
