Ultimate Buffalo Chicken Pizza
Ingredients:
For the Pizza:
-
1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
-
½ cup Buffalo sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
-
¼ cup ranch or blue cheese dressing (for drizzle and base)
-
¼ small red onion, thinly sliced
-
Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)
-
Optional: crumbled blue cheese for extra tang
Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat to 475°F (245°C).
If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up for an extra crispy crust.
2. Prepare the Chicken:
In a bowl, toss the cooked chicken with Buffalo sauce until well coated.
Set aside.
3. Shape the Dough:
On a floured surface, roll or stretch the pizza dough into a 12–14 inch circle.
Transfer to a lightly greased baking sheet or preheated pizza stone.
Brush the edges with a little olive oil.
4. Assemble the Pizza:
Spread a thin layer of ranch or blue cheese dressing over the dough (this replaces traditional tomato sauce).
Top with a mix of mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
Add the Buffalo chicken evenly across the pizza.
Scatter red onion slices over the top.
5. Bake:
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Finish and Garnish:
Remove from the oven and drizzle with extra Buffalo sauce and ranch (or blue cheese dressing).
Sprinkle with chopped parsley, green onions, and crumbled blue cheese, if desired.
Serving Ideas:
-
Serve with a side of celery sticks and extra ranch for dipping.
-
For extra spice, sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce before serving.
Pro Tip:
Want restaurant-style crispness? Pre-bake your crust for 5 minutes, then add toppings and finish baking — perfect every time.
