Description
🩸 Vamp Drip Shots
Sour cherry and cinnamon with a thick syrup swirl.
🍸 Ingredients (Makes 6–8 shots)
For the Shot Mix:
-
2 oz sour cherry liqueur (or cherry vodka + splash of lemon juice)
-
2 oz cinnamon whiskey (like Fireball)
-
1 oz grenadine (for extra depth and blood-red color)
-
1/2 oz lemon juice (to boost the sour kick)
-
Ice (for shaking)
For the Thick Syrup “Drip”:
-
2 tbsp cherry preserves or thick cherry syrup
-
1 tsp corn syrup or honey (to thicken)
-
Optional: red gel food coloring for a deeper blood effect
Garnish (optional but dramatic):
-
Red sanding sugar for the rim
-
Gummy fangs or vampire teeth
-
Mini plastic pipette filled with grenadine for a “blood injection”
🧃 Instructions
1. Prepare the Drip Syrup
In a small bowl, mix cherry preserves with a bit of corn syrup or honey.
Warm slightly (10 seconds in the microwave) and stir until smooth and drippy but thick.
Add red gel food coloring if desired for a vivid vampire blood effect. Set aside to cool slightly.
2. Rim the Shot Glasses (Optional)
Dip the rims into simple syrup or lemon juice, then into red sanding sugar or crushed red candy.
3. Mix the Shot
In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine:
-
Sour cherry liqueur
-
Cinnamon whiskey
-
Lemon juice
-
Grenadine
Shake well until chilled.
4. Drip and Pour
-
Use a spoon to drizzle a thick swirl of the syrup mixture inside each shot glass (let it drip and coat like blood).
-
Pour the cherry-cinnamon mixture gently into the center. The swirl should stay visible for a layered, bloody look.
5. Serve It Wicked
-
Top each with a gummy fang or serve with a pipette full of grenadine for guests to “inject” more blood.
-
Optionally add a cinnamon stick stirrer or a black cherry floating on top.
