  • Author: Stephanie

Description

Brown Sugar Soy Glazed Salmon

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional)

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, for thicker glaze)

  • Chopped green onions or sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season salmon with salt and pepper on both sides.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic, and ginger until well combined.

  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon fillets skin-side down and sear for 3–4 minutes.

  4. Flip salmon and pour the glaze mixture over the fillets.

  5. Reduce heat to medium and cook for another 3–4 minutes, spooning sauce over the salmon until it’s cooked through and the glaze thickens.

  6. (Optional) For a thicker glaze, remove salmon, stir in cornstarch mixture, and simmer 1–2 minutes until the sauce is glossy.

  7. Serve salmon drizzled with glaze and garnished with green onions or sesame seeds.
