Description
Cheese-Stuffed Garlic Bread
Ingredients
-
1 large French baguette or Italian loaf
-
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
-
3 garlic cloves, minced
-
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
-
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
-
½ cup shredded cheddar or provolone (optional for extra flavor)
-
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Prepare the Garlic Butter
-
In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and Italian seasoning.
-
Mix until smooth and fragrant.
2. Prep the Bread
-
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Using a serrated knife, slice the loaf lengthwise (like a sandwich), but don’t cut all the way through — leave it attached at one side.
-
Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on both sides of the inside of the loaf.
3. Add the Cheese
-
Stuff the inside with a mixture of mozzarella and cheddar (or provolone).
-
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
-
Wrap the loaf loosely in foil, leaving the top slightly open so it can crisp up.
4. Bake
-
Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
-
For a golden crust, open the foil completely and broil for 1–2 minutes at the end — watch carefully!
5. Serve
Slice and serve warm — perfect for dipping into marinara sauce, ranch, or alongside pasta, soups, or salads.
