Description

Cheese-Stuffed Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 large French baguette or Italian loaf

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar or provolone (optional for extra flavor)

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

1. Prepare the Garlic Butter

  1. In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and Italian seasoning.

  2. Mix until smooth and fragrant.

2. Prep the Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Using a serrated knife, slice the loaf lengthwise (like a sandwich), but don’t cut all the way through — leave it attached at one side.

  3. Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on both sides of the inside of the loaf.

3. Add the Cheese

  1. Stuff the inside with a mixture of mozzarella and cheddar (or provolone).

  2. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.

  3. Wrap the loaf loosely in foil, leaving the top slightly open so it can crisp up.

4. Bake

  • Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • For a golden crust, open the foil completely and broil for 1–2 minutes at the end — watch carefully!

5. Serve

Slice and serve warm — perfect for dipping into marinara sauce, ranch, or alongside pasta, soups, or salads.
