Description

Stir-Fried Shrimp and Broccoli

Ingredients
• 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
• 3 cups broccoli florets
• 2 tbsp vegetable oil
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tsp ginger, minced (optional but amazing)
• 1/4 cup soy sauce
• 2 tbsp oyster sauce
• 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
• 1 tsp sesame oil
• 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
• 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
• Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and stir-fry 2–3 minutes per side until pink and just cooked. Remove shrimp and set aside.

  2. Add remaining oil to the pan, toss in broccoli, and stir-fry 3–4 minutes until bright green and slightly crisp.

  3. Add garlic (and ginger if using) and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

  4. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Toss to coat broccoli evenly.

  5. Return shrimp to the pan. If you want a thicker sauce, add cornstarch slurry and stir until sauce thickens and coats everything.

  6. Serve hot over rice and drizzle any extra sauce on top.
